STYLIST Angela Scanlon has been marked as one to watch by Vogue in 2013, perhaps because the she has been hand picked to take on hosting duties at next year's London Fashion Week.
"Fashion week is mad, wonderfully mad," the 28-year-old told the Herald.
"Everything is so frantic -- models dashing about half dressed, emotional designers, overdressed bloggers everywhere, shows running late. It's completely nuts. So I can't wait to host. It'll be great craic."
Earlier this week, Angela was dubbed the new Alexa Chung by the UK's ultimate style bible, Vogue. And the bubbly red head said she is thrilled to have made the list.
"It's crazy," Angela laughed. "I couldn't believe it when I heard. Even to be considered is amazing so yeah, I was delighted but you have to take these things with a pinch of salt."
Angela said being compared to style queen Alexa was a massive compliment and that one day she would love to write for the iconic fashion magazine.
"That's always been a dream of mine -- writing for Vogue," she said. "Who knows what will happen but of course I'd love to write for them. I think any girl would."
Angela wasn't the only Irish star to make the list. Cavan band The Strypes and designer Dean Quinn were also cited as stars on the rise.
"It's great so many Paddys were on the list," said Angela. "It's good to know we're representing."
While Dublin will always be home, Angela is planning on getting her own place in London next year.
"It makes sense to have a base there. But work in Dublin is still busy so I won't be uprooting permanently yet."
Angela has been catching the eyes of TV execs in the UK, and is already the face of Yahoo's fashion channel.
Patrick Kielty's new wife, Cat Deeley, fronts the US version and has several high-profile projects in the pipeline.
Next year is shaping up to be a bit of a whirlwind for Angela but before it all kicks off, she will be ringing in the New Year in India.
"I head off on the 27th. It's my first proper, long holiday in years. I'm looking forward to turning off my phone and taking things easy."
