I'll get fit with Operation Transformation leaders - Kathryn
OPERATION Transformation host Kathryn Thomas intends to follow the same regimen as the show's five chosen leaders.
Kathryn (32) is going to follow Dr Eva's advice and get the New Year off to a healthy start.
"I'll stick to [nutrition expert] Dr Eva Orsmond's sustenance diet and I'll be fine," the blonde beauty laughed.
This year, Dubliners Natalie Cox (24) and Killian Byrne (39), Offaly man Adrian Brereton (41), Cork woman Grace Batterberry (32) and Limerick teen Kayleigh Yeoman (18) will attempt to change their lifestyles for the better.
Kathryn says that she plans to relax until Operation Transformation hits the air -- and so she will extend her festive break for a little while longer.
"I'm not going to start until Eva comes back, I want to spend a few days lounging around in my pyjamas first because I won't have any time to do that when [new reality contest] The Voice and Operation Transformation start.
"I did the same last year, I followed Eva's meals and Karl Henry's exercise plan.
"I think it's great, it keeps me motivated to see the contestants working so hard, and there are two leaders in Dublin this year so I will get a chance to exercise [with them]."
During the week, participants must adhere to a strict diet and exercise routine that are targeted to their individual needs.
On Sundays, the five leaders meet in the Curragh where they are put through their paces by fitness guru Karl Henry.
This year's leaders will benefit from the unusually balmy weather -- an improvement on last year's snow and sub-zero temperatures.
