I won't quit TV job to model, says Anna, as she wows on catwalk
She has no shortage of modelling offers, but TV starlet Anna Daly has insisted she won't be swapping her TV career for a stint on the catwalk.
Since bursting onto the small screen in 2008 as TV3's weather presenter, Anna admits that she has had numerous offers for her modelling skills.
But while other up and coming TV personalities -- including her TV3 colleague Glenda Gilson and RTE rival Jennifer Maguire -- have posed for saucy shoots since getting their big TV break, the Ireland AM star insists we'll never see her posing in her underwear.
"I'm not sure if it would fit in with my role on Ireland AM as it's a family show," she told the Diary. "I'm all on for having a bit of fun and I'm happy to do the odd shoot here and there for work but that's it.
"It's something that worked well for me when I was in college, as a nixer, but I have no interest in modelling now.
"I wouldn't have time to do it on the side with Ireland AM and my other work," she added.
Nonetheless, bubbly Anna managed to steal the show last night when she stepped out to the Tommy Hilfiger fashion show at Arnotts department store.
Dressed to impress in one of Hilfiger's designs from his new collection, the blonde beauty explained how she was hand-picked by the company's design team to model the fitted navy dress she was wearing to the invite-only event.
"I actually wore this dress [by Tommy Hilfiger] in a shoot recently and they asked me if I would wear it last night.
"It's a really simple dress. I kind of like wearing a lot of their stuff," she added.
The collection was displayed by two runway models, with guests enjoying a sparkling wine and canapes reception.
Among those who were in attendance was author Marisa Mackle and former Xpose presenter Sean Munsanje.
It was a fleeting visit for Anna, however, who admitted she was going home to bed in order to prepare for her 4.30am wake-up call for Ireland AM.
It promises to be a busy weekend for the TV3 beauty, who has been signed up as the ambassador for the Ideal Homes Exhibition at the RDS.
Anna will be on hand to MC a number of events and fashion shows over the course of the three-day event.
Channel 4's How Clean Is Your House presenter Aggie MacKenzie is set to join the leggy blonde at the event tomorrow.
