Coronation Street star Kym Marsh says the Rovers Return just isn't the same since Boyzone's Keith Duffy left the cobbled streets of Weatherfield.
"I miss Keith," she told the Herald. "We all do. It was like someone had died when he went."
Kym (37) plays Michelle Connor and Keith – who played bartender Ciaran McCarthy – was her on-screen love.
"Obviously because we did so many scenes together we grew very close. He is a great laugh and a real larger than life character," she says.
"We do stay in touch – texting and all that. And I really want to come back to Ireland when he's in a play.
"I'm hoping he'll see the light and come back to us. But he can't just expect to run back into Michelle's arms – that's not going to happen."
The mum-of-three used to be part of 90s pop band Hear'Say but she says her all-singing, all-dancing days are behind her and can't imagine taking part in ITV's Big Reunion Tour.
"I mean, never say never," she says. "But I'm 37 now – I don't think I could learn and remember all those dance routines. It's a lot of work."
"Plus, I have three kids and I'm on Coronation Street so things would be a bit too hectic." Kym has two daughters Emily (15) and Polly (2) and 18-year-old son David.
"They are all at that difficult age. My son is a young man now and he's going to leave and that makes me sad. My baby Polly is turning into a monster before my eyes.
"And Emily is 15 and I think that's a hard age for girls. It's tough being a mum"
Kym was in Dublin for the launch of TV3 and Tesco's Coronation Street Competition – where a lucky viewers gets to visit the set of the soap. And the mum-of-three says she loves being in the Fair City.
"We used to come to Dublin every year for the TV Now Soap Awards and it was amazing. We all just got drunk and acted silly. I want them to bring those back."
