I don't see girls now Wonderland's over - Kasey

THEY were once tipped as the next big thing but the girls of Wonderland have barely been in touch since the band split.

Kasey Smith has revealed that there has been little or no contact between the band members following the sudden break-up. The Dubliner skipped to the States after the girlband -- set up by Louis Walsh and Kian Egan -- failed to hit the big time.

She has returned from Nashville, Tennessee after three months of seeking inspiration for a solo career.

The girls seemed the best of mates as they toured with big names like Westlife and Olly Murs, shared an apartment together and spent long days rehearsing.

But Kasey admitted: "We actually haven't seen each other at all. We lived together for three years, so obviously I think about them a lot but it's hard to keep in touch with the girls. We've all been busy doing our own things."

She said the only person she has seen since the split is Leigh Learmont and she definitely hasn't heard from Louis or Kian. "The only person I have seen since we split is Leigh, we still meet up for tea and have our girlie chats," she explained.

But she is determined to put the Wonderland days behind her and has just debuted her first solo track.

"I just put out my first solo single, it's called Rewind. I recorded 10 songs while I was in Nashville. My uncle lives out there, he used to be in the Irish band No Sweat and they had a number one hit.

"While I was there I worked with writers that have worked with Lady Antebellum and country singer Kenny Chesney, so I made some amazing songs.

"I'd say my style is a mixture of country and folk with some ballads as well. My main focus now is just to figure out what style I am comfortable with, I'm not in a rush to sign to a label," she said.
