NIALL Horan is no longer homesick -- thanks to his dear old mum.
The singer told several weeks ago that his mother Maura had moved over to London to be closer to him.
And it appears her presence there is having the desired effect on the young singer as he now says he is no longer homesick.
"I don't get to go home as much as I used to which is a shame. But I don't mind so much because my mother recently moved over," he said.
Maura made the move from Mullingar and now lives close to her 19-year-old son in the UK capital -- but not in the same property.
Niall is very close to his mum -- when 1D first went to the States, Niall brought his mother along and treated her to the sights and sounds of NYC.
Niall and his One Direction bandmates -- Harry, Zayn, Liam and Louis -- are currently on tour in the US where they played a sell-out concert in Madison Gardens in New York earlier this week.
They have been tipped to fly back to the UK later this week for an appearance on the X Factor final -- the show which catapulted them to fame just two years ago.
Other acts which will also perform on the show this Saturday and Sunday include Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Emile Sande and Kelly Clarkson.
The three finalists -- Christopher Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur -- will perform duets with their mentors Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger.
1D did appear on Simon Cowell's series in October -- but it was a pre-recorded slot.
Meanwhile, Harry's love-life continues to attract attention.
The singer has been linked to country singer Taylor Swift (22) for several weeks.
Taylor -- who recently split from Conor Kennedy (18) after three months together -- appears to be making no secret of her liking for Harry and the pair have been snapped together.
Taylor has had a string of hits from songs she penned about her former loves.
