Have a fun and safe Halloween
THIS weekend will be a great one for children. Many will go trick or treating tomorrow night, as well as playing some traditional Halloween games.
Some older children will also bear in mind the significance of the festival and its origins.
It's not just children who enjoy the occasion -- if you're out and about tonight and tomorrow, you're likely to see quite a few adults dressed up.
Unfortunately, this time of year is also one of the busiest for our emergency services.
Bonfires that can blaze out of control, as well as anti-social behaviour, can test the bravest in our society. Dreadful, life-altering injuries have been caused in previous years by fireworks.
The trick to enjoying this festival is to be safe, remain sensible and take care of those more vulnerable around us.
Halloween can be a fun occasion -- let's make it a memorable one for all the right reasons.
