Harry heads in wrong direction for New Year reunion with Taylor

IT appears singer Harry Styles was going in the wrong direction after missing his flight to see new love Taylor Swift.

One Direction star Harry's love story with the country singing sensation was put on hold after he arrived at Heathrow airport minus one important item -- his passport.

Harry (18) was planning on spending a few days with Taylor (22) before her performance on New Year's Eve.

The Love Story singer is performing alongside a host of stars, including her friend Justin Bieber and hit boyband The Wanted at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in New York's Times Square.

But he was left red faced after being driven to the airport by his mum Anne Cox, only to realise that he had left his passport at home -- 180 miles away.

However, life is a bit easier when you're a member of the world's biggest boyband. He commissioned a courier to deliver the passport and Harry was soon winging his way stateside.

"He wanted to fly out that day so rather than Anne drive the journey back up north, he decided to get a courier bike to pick it up and bring it to him," a source said.

"If she had driven, he would've missed the next flight too."

While he was left red faced, he used his spare time to do some shopping ahead of his reunion with Taylor in New York.

The source added: "Harry spent his time shopping and having some lunch before the next flight which took off that evening.

"There was no way Harry and Taylor could spend Christmas Day together but they're making up for it by seeing in the New Year together."

After missing his 11.15am British Airways flight from Heathrow to Boston, Harry managed to catch the next flight to the US city and was soon reunited with Taylor, eight hours later than planned.

"He managed to get on the evening flight but it still meant that he had to wait another eight hours for his post-Christmas reunion with Taylor," the source added.

"Despite this, he took the whole event in good humour and ridiculed himself for it."

Meanwhile, bandmate Niall Horan spent the festivities with family in Mullingar. He told his millions of online followers how he got the Mr Bean boxset and couldn't wait to watch it.
