Georgia joins the Celeb Big Brother house ... for a whopping €100k

GEORGIA Salpa is picking up a cool €100,000 for going into the Celebrity Big Brother house, the Herald can exclusively reveal.

The half-Greek model will be adding some serious zeros to her bank balance after signing up for the Channel 5 show.

And her agency boss Andrea Roche reckons the Dublin beauty -- best known in the UK as Calum Best's ex -- will make a huge splash on the show.

"I'd say she'll do very well. She has a great personality and is really different from what you would expect. People in Ireland will get to see the real Georgia in there. She's actually very down-to-earth and very easy going, she's not what you would expect a model to be like," she said.

The model agency boss also confirmed that signing on for Celebrity Big Brother was the real reason why Georgia pulled out of the Sleeping Beauty panto.

"She did tell them from the start that there was a possibility she could be on the show but wasn't able to say it publicly until now. It was too good an opportunity for her to turn down," she continued.

This evening will see Georgia enter the famous house in Elstree alongside 11 other contestants. Among those rumoured to be going onto the show hosted by Irishman Brian Dowling are Natalie Cassidy, Kirk Norcross, Denise Welch.

Also named as a possible contestant is X Factor reject Frankie Cocozza alongside pin-up Nicola McClean, comedian Ruby Wax and Natasha Giggs.

"She's slowly building up a bit of profile in the UK so this is a really exciting opportunity for her," said Andrea. "Georgia's going to have a whole new fanbase after this and will have no trouble competing with any of the other UK models who are going to be on the show."

She added how viewers would "have to wait and see" whether Georgia would be dishing all about her relationship with Calum Best.

However, Andrea said it wouldn't bother the model in the slightest if the lothario son of George Best also entered the house, as has been rumoured.

"That's all in the past now and they ended things on good terms so she wouldn't be that put out if Calum was in the house with her or not. She has moved on."

This series will see the house transformed into a lodge-style dwelling complete with stags' heads mounted on plaques, cowskin rugs and animal-print lampshades. There's also the compulsory hot tub outside in the garden with producers hoping their contestants will be stripping down to their bikinis. They have hopes of pulling in 5.2m viewers which mirrors the opening show.
