AN IRISH lace company who were the inspiration behind Kate Middleton's wedding dress may now turn their hand to making baby clothes for the pregnant princess.
The Carrickmacross Lace Company, in Co. Monaghan, is responsible for the technique used to make Kate's luxurious lace wedding dress which she wore for the royal nuptials in April 2011.
Now, the company say it would be willing to provide some specially crafted lace products for the new royal addition.
"I think anybody would be happy to oblige at this stage", an employee within the lace company told the Herald.
Kate's wedding gown was tailor-made by English designer Sarah Burton of luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen.
Two members of the design team travelled to Monaghan in the run-up to the wedding to perfect the stitching technique for the satin gown.
