Fired from Apprentice -- but at least Orla has date with hunky Dave

APPRENTICE LOVE: Orla McAdams is rumoured to be enjoying dates with man-about-town Dave Murphy
Thursday October 23 2008
Apprentice beauty Orla McAdams (24) may have got the boot from the hit TV3 show this week.
But at least she scored herself a date with hunky man about town, Dave Murphy.
The Diary can reveal that he wasted no time in asking out the blonde beauty, who was described by the programme's boss Bill Cullen as too quiet to make it in business.
Former model Orla and socialite Dave, who has dated a string of well known beauties and models, were seen enjoying a quiet lunch in Residence this week.
A source revealed: "The pair had never met each other before Orla went on The Apprentice but, after seeing her, Dave decided to chance his arm and ask her out on a date. She's single at the moment, so she decided, 'why not?' and agreed. They looked like they were getting on like a house on fire at lunch, so who knows what could happen?"
Models
No stranger to the social scene, businessman Dave has previously dated former models including Michelle Doherty and Jennifer Langan.
Although he's rarely seen without some leggy beauty attached to his arm, he has been single for the past few weeks.
Now he has clearly set his sights on pretty Orla, who was seen getting her marching orders from the programme this week.
And she has admitted that she's currently looking for romance and is hoping her stint on the small screen will help her find the perfect guy.
"It's very funny finding out what people made of the show. Some guys know my name, others just say: 'Oh you're the one from The Apprentice.'
But at least I know I'm getting some opportunities so you'd never know who might come along," she said.
Plus, feisty Orla wasn't taking the rejection lying down and claimed that Bill was unnecessarily rude to her during the show -- and she wouldn't work for him anyway.
"I completely disagree with Bill when it comes to what's important in business. He told me I had to be more aggressive, but I don't think that's necessary.
Bitch
"If he wants someone who is going to be a bitch and a pit bull then it's just as well I didn't get the job -- because that's not me.
"I was made a partner in my company at 22 so I've had a lot of success in my career and I've never resorted to being awful. I wouldn't have worked for Bill, even if I did win, if that's what he's looking for."
