Final whistle for Kearney's long-distance relationship
THEY appeared to be a match made in heaven, but it looks as if Rob Kearney's relationship with actress Susie Amy could be on the rocks.
Friends of the high-profile couple have revealed how the former Footballers' Wives star (29) and the hunky Leinster and Ireland player have been struggling to make time for one another due to their hectic work schedules
Despite initially stepping out regularly together at social events in Dublin, the handsome couple have not been seen publicly together since Kearney accompanied Amy to Montrose studios last month to record an interview for Craig Doyle's Saturday night show.
Eyebrows were raised when Amy failed to turn up to the recent IRUPA Awards on the Louth man's arm, while neither Kearney nor his glamorous girlfriend attended the Leinster Rugby Awards the weekend before last.
Speculation is now rife that the couple could be set to go their separate ways as Amy prepares for a gruelling work schedule promoting her new ITV reality show, 71 Degrees North.
"Rob and Susie have been keeping a very low profile over the past few weeks and he's been out a lot without her," said a source close to the pair.
"They haven't officially told anyone it's off between them but it appears to be going in that direction.
"They've been trying very hard to make it work, but it's difficult for them to find time to see each other when they live so far apart and are so busy with work."
Amy revealed recently how she had her doubts about starting a long-distance relationship with Kearney.
"We have a mutual friend, one of the guys that Rob was on the Lions tour with, who introduced us," Amy said. "He thought we'd get on really well and I sort of said, 'Over the sea? This isn't going to work out for me'. Then we spoke a few times and eventually we ended up meeting and we just got on really well."
Meanwhile, Welsh singer Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson are said to have called off their dream Caribbean wedding after a series of rows.
Henson (28) will now move out of their £1.2m home in Wales while singer Church stays there with their children.
He will move into his luxury yacht moored in Swansea while looking for a new home.
Arguments between the pair had escalated in recent months, particularly after Henson flew to Norway in March to film the same reality show as Susie Amy.
Church is believed to have become jealous about Henson's friendships with other women, in particular Amy.
