BRIDES Of Franc star Peter Kelly helped put a dream day together for comedian Tommy Tiernan and his bride Yvonne McMahon today.

Tommy and long-time love Yvonne, who have been together for around six years, were due to marry at a ceremony at St Patrick's Church, Co Monaghan, in front of close family and friends, before retiring to the Castle Leslie hotel.

Peter has been on hand to oversee the couple's special day -- and he wasn't prepared to divulge any secrets.

Confidential

"All I can say is I'm very busy at the moment," the quirky wedding planner told the Herald. "We don't ever talk about the details of any of or client's weddings, it's completely confidential."

It is not known whether part of the reception at the renowned venue will be filmed for his popular RTE series Brides Of Franc.

"I can't say anything about that at the moment," said Peter. "I have a couple of options on the table and I'll have to decide what to do.

"I'm launching my own magazine called Franc's Wedding Secrets this month, so my time is being taken up by that." Yvonne is Tommy's former manager and the striking redhead has appeared in several of his TV performances and often gets a mention during his stand-up performances.

Guests at today's wedding include Tommy's groomsman and close friend Hector O'hEochagain, with whom he co-presents a i102-104 radioshow.

A host of well-known faces from the comic world including former The Panel host Dara O'Briain are also said to have made the guest-list for the bash. The wedding party will enjoy a delicious five-course meal and top notch entertainment into the early hours.

Staff at the exclusive hotel have been told to keep quiet about the party -- but it is understood that American bluegrass outfit Hayseed Dixie will among the acts providing entertainment after they impressed Tiernan during a recent trip to the States.

The newlyweds are set to enjoy a few weeks off when they take off on honeymoon to a secret location next week.

Tiernan will be back on Irish shores at the end of the month however, in time to take centre stage at the Stradbally Laughs, comedy tent at this year's Electric Picnic festival, marking his only Irish festival performance this year.

Tiernan has three children; Dylan, Jacob and Eva from a 15-year relationship with previous partner, Jayme Street, with whom he shared a home in Galway.

The two, who met when they joined a Christian community based on the Aran Islands, broke up in October of 2002.
