Bride-to-be Karen shows off sparkler as she plans glam wedding in Italy

TV3 star Karen Koster 'xposed' her engagement ring after finally getting her new sparkler from fiance John McGuire.

And the Diary can exclusively reveal the well-known broadcaster (31) will be walking down the aisle at an intimate ceremony in the gorgeous island of Sicily next June -- and has her dream wedding dress picked out already.

Yet one big tick off her 'to do' list was no doubt finding her perfect ring in the wake of the proposal from the former I'm An Adult...Get Me Out Of Here presenter last July.

He went down on bended knee and popped the question during the couple's holiday to the Amalfi coast but they had to wait until this month to have the unique rock designed for Karen.

She described it as "halo style" featuring one central diamond surrounded by small diamonds and it was especially made for her by Voltaire Diamonds. "It's still a bit of a novelty wearing it," she said. "I did love the ring John proposed with, it was gorgeous but when you put the real diamond ring on, it just feels different.

"It was a bit of a collaborative effort between myself and the designer Seamus Fahy. There were about three rings that I wanted so I talked to him about bringing all my ideas into one design. It took about six weeks to have it made up and I love it. I have to make sure I have my nails done all the time now!"

Karen said they will swap vows at the start of the summer and they're going to keep the numbers down to close friends and family. She'll no doubt be joined by some of her pals from Xpose, Glenda Gilson, Lisa Cannon and Kirsteen O'Sullivan -- who leaves the show on Friday. They will be getting married at a venue in Taormina, Italy, which is where they originally holidayed last year before going on to Sorrento.

"We were there for four days last summer, it was the place we started our holiday. We were both absolutely knackered as we hadn't been away for ages and when we were looking for venues, we both kept coming back to that place so we just decided to have it there," she continued. "It's all coming together now so we have the big things picked out like the venue and the dress. We're just going to have a small wedding, we're going to keep the numbers down as we're having it abroad."

The couple have been dating for over four years and she described it as a "massive shock" when he went down on bended knee.
