Brian Ormond joined forces with stunning singer Vogue
RTE star Brian Ormond joined forces with stunning singer Vogue this morning to officially launch the Wright Venue's new talent contest, The Wright Factor.
Brian, who is due to wed top model Pippa O'Connor next summer, will be on the judging panel.
Participants must be over 18 to take part in the competition, which will begin on Wednesday, October 20 and Thursday, 21, with heats taking place each week until the Grand Finals in February 2011.
The winner will receive €5,000 and the opportunity to record a single. Meanwhile, Dutch dynamo Laidback Luke will take to the decks at the Wright Venue this October bank holiday weekend.
- A charity event will take place at Cineworld on Parnell Street this weekend with the four-day Cadbury Flake Film Festival in aid of Action Breast Cancer due to kick off tomorrow evening.
The much-anticipated event will feature screenings of Casablanca, Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman to name but a few. There will be no fixed tickets prices but patrons are asked to make a donation for an amount of their choosing to the Irish Cancer Society.

- DUNDALK singer and actress Andrea Corr turned on the style this morning for a photocall to announce her involvement in Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, which takes to the stage at the Gate Theatre next November.
The talented brunette is due to play the title character alongside Stephen Brennan in the play directed by Alan Stanford. Jane Eyre will open at the Gate Theatre on Tuesday, November 9 at 7.30pm, with low-price previews from Thursday, November 4.

The record-breaking, production will come to the Grand Canal Theatre this festive season from Tuesday December 7 for four weeks on its first visit to Ireland. The deadline for receiving application forms is Monday, October 25 and they can be downloaded at www.grandcanaltheatre.ie.
