SINGER Bressie will be hanging up his party shoes as he recovers from surgery.
The single hunk has become a regular fixture on the social scene in recent months, but he is in for a quiet Christmas.
Bressie (32) is having surgery today to fix a finger injured during his rugby-playing days.
The Voice of Ireland judge said he is having surgery to correct a "gimpy" finger.
"It will be a fairly quiet Christmas for me. It's grand, though, because it's been quite a hectic December," Bressie said.
It will also be a tame New Year for the musician, although he made up for it over the past few weeks with new best friend and fellow Mullingar man Niall Horan from 1D.
"I won't be going mental this year, but it's ok because I got it out of the way over the past few weeks."
2013 is set to be a good year for the former Leinster rugby player as he gears up for a new album launch.
Bressie confirmed that his new album will be released in March and will see him go back to his indie roots from his days as lead singer in the Blizzards.
