RTE rugby pundit Brent Pope will be going all Hollywood on us when he tackles a red carpet premiere at the Light House Cinema.

But he tells the Diary that the scrum of glitz and glam at the Smithfield venue will all be for a good cause -- raising funds for the Dublin Simon Community on its 40th anniversary.

The TV hunk has called up all his best pals from the worlds of rugby and entertainment for a light-hearted charity evening, the main focus of which will be the premiere screening of Chasing The Lions.

Leading the charge will be funnymen Hector OhEochagain and Risteard Cooper alongside Bernard Dunne, Des Bishop, Pat Shortt and rugby aces Paul Wallace, Ollie Campbell, Tony Ward, Denis Hickie and Malcolm O'Kelly.

"We're rolling out the red carpet, we've got a Ferrari parked outside, with South African dancers and a drinks reception beforehand. It's going to be a lot of fun," said Brent. Ireland meet South Africa on Saturday.
