As Britain's Got Talent fans eagerly awaited the show's tour, doubts remained over the health of star attraction Susan Boyle.

But despite fears that the singer would miss the show at the 02 arena, Boyle wowed the crowd last night with her rendition of I Dreamed A Dream -- the song that shot her to fame.

There had been speculation that Susan might not make it to Dublin because she has cancelled several dates on the tour so far, due to exhaustion.

Her 'fragile' state has meant she has pulled out of many tour dates, disappointing audiences who see her as the star attraction despite the fact that she did not win the contest.

But she arrived in Dublin with the other acts on the tour and stayed at the Morgan Hotel in Temple Bar, where fans and photographers awaited a glimpse of her before she made her way down the Quays to the O2.

Later, the Scottish spinster took to the stage in the dockside venue at around 9pm, for a performance that lasted just under 10 minutes.

"Because there are so many acts on the bill they only get to perform a couple of numbers each. That's the way it is for everyone," said her spokesperson.

Susan's second song was Memory, reprising the performance that kept her in the Britain's Got Talent show.

Boyle helped boost the ratings of the massive Simon Cowell-driven show this year, and proved to be an internet sensation on both sides of the Atlantic when millions logged-on to YouTube to see her I Dreamed A Dream performance following her TV debut.

But there were serious concerns for her health and state of mind after her sudden exposure to fame.

"She has missed some shows on the tour but is delighted to be in Ireland," the spokesperson added.

The other acts included Julian Smith, Hollie Steel and dance act Stavros Flatley.

They are all expected to fly out from Dublin today to continue the tour.
