Turn to your mum when you need solid advice, advises top model Holly Carpenter
Top model Holly Carpenter is an experienced model but she still knows that when you need some solid advice, turn to mum.
The former Miss Ireland says her mum Jane always told her not to take the industry too seriously.
“When I started modelling and did Miss Ireland, I was only 19 so I was really thrown in the deep end,” she said.
“She was always there for me, telling me what not to believe. She knew what it was like for family to be in the papers so she taught me not to take things too seriously. She is a great rock for me,” she added.
Holly (24) says her mum is also creative and was a great help when she was in college.
“When I was doing my portfolio for NCAD, she was really helpful and I felt I could ask her opinion a lot,” she said. Unfortunately, the model had some heartbreak this week when her dog passed away.
“I’m still in shock but we said goodbye to Molly tonight. She’s been my best friend since I was seven and a part of our family for 16 years,” she said.
