Two men have been arrested after detectives seized almost 300,000 euro of drugs in an early morning raid.
About two kilos of cocaine and one kilo of heroin were uncovered in a truck at Newbridge in Co Kildare.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being held in Newbridge garda station.
In a follow-up search, a 30-year-old man was arrested at a house in Donaghmede, north Dublin. He is being held in Coolock Garda station.
Both men are being detained under the Drug Trafficking Act and can be held for up to seven days.
Detectives believe the cocaine has an estimated street value of 140,000 euro while the heroin is valued at 150,000 euro.
The drugs have been sent for forensic analysis.
The operation was led by the Organised Crime Unit, the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs.
