National Heritage week launched
Sunday August 24 2008
Minister of State Michael Kitt has officially launched National Heritage week.
Over 1,000 events are to take place across the country over the next week, to raise awareness and interest in our national heritage.
The events include everything from whale watching to free museum tours.
The Heritage Council says it is bigger and better this year, with more communities than ever getting involved and many state institutions opening up sites free of charge for the week.
