Man killed, two injured in crash

A 36-year-old man has been killed after the car he was travelling in crashed into a pole.
Two other people were in the vehicle when the accident happened on the Mullingar to Ballynacarrigy Road at Muleadys Cross, Co Westmeath, at around 1.30am on Tuesday.
They were rushed to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar, where one remains in a serious condition.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed after the incident.
