Auction to raise funds for Tarawatch campaign

A drawing of Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick will be auctioned in Dublin today to raise funds for a group campaigning against the route of the M3 motorway in Co Meath.
Tarawatch is planning to send a delegation to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is meeting in Canada from the 2nd to the 10th of July.
They are campaigning in response to the recent proposal by Environment Minister John Gormley that Tara should be declared a World Heritage Site - despite the fact that the M3 is being constructed through it.
